Privacy Policy

Effective October 23, 2026

This policy covers Genesis, a personal software project built by Jordan Wright. Genesis is a set of apps that help me manage my own email, calendar and schedule. It is not offered to the public. The only person who uses it is me.

What Genesis accesses

When I sign in with my Google account, Genesis asks Google for permission to:

  • Read, send and organize email in my Gmail account.

  • Read, create, change and delete events in my Google Calendar.

Genesis only accesses my own accounts. It does not access anyone else's Google account.

How Genesis uses this information

Genesis uses my email and calendar to:

  • Show my messages and meetings in my own apps.

  • Find messages that ask me for a meeting.

  • Prepare a daily brief of my day.

  • Book, move or cancel meetings when I ask it to.

Genesis does not use this information for advertising. It does not sell it. It does not use it to build a profile of anyone for any other purpose.

Where the information is kept

Genesis stores what it reads on computers I own. The sign-in keys Google gives it are kept in files on my own computer that only my user account can read.

Who else sees it

Genesis does not share my Google data with other people or companies, with two exceptions:

  • To summarize and sort messages and meetings, Genesis sends some of the text to an AI service: Anthropic's Claude, through its API. It also uses AI models that run on my own computer.

  • If the law requires it.

Genesis does not use Google user data to develop, improve or train generalized AI or machine learning models.

Google API Services User Data Policy

Genesis's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Removing access and deleting data

Access can be removed at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Once access is removed, Genesis can no longer read the account. Data Genesis has already stored can be deleted on request using the contact below.

Children

Genesis is not meant for children and does not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
